While highlighting the importance of quality health for a woman, Dr. Neelam says only a healthy woman can keep her family and the society healthy. A woman goes through 3 important stages in her life- 1). Adolescent, 2). Reproductive age, and 3). Perimenopausal stage. In adolescent age, from 10 to 20 years, girl starts going through her periods. So, she should be given a proper education and awareness about menstrual hygiene. Reproductive age on the other hand is very crucial because during this the women give birth to children. While, some women face infertility caused due to PCOS, unhealthy diet, and modified lifestyle. However, by bringing changes into unhealthy lifestyle risks of PCOS and other diseases can be reduced. But, if the woman faces same challenges afterwards, she should consult with a Gynaecologist. In Perimenopausal and menopausal stage that starts after 40 years, ovaries start getting dysfunctional and hormones become imbalance. Due to this women face hot flashes, irritation, repeated UTI, and trizin in vagina, stress incontinence, etc. All these problems cause women depress hence they should consult with the doctor and take proper treatment. A cervical cancer/ HPV Vaccine is now available in India which should be given to every young female to protect her from risk of cervical cancers. It is recommended from age groups of 10- 45 years. If started between 10 to 15, it requires two doses while, if it is given after 15 years, it requires 3 doses per woman. In the end Dr. Neelam concludes by saying “Be happy and keep your family happy” to all women.
